Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi is on a three day state visit to Malawi. Nyusi arrived in Blantyre, Malawi this morning.
Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera tweeted: “I have welcomed Mozambican President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi to Malawi. Our key agenda is common infrastructure. Adequate infrastructure in the form of road and railway transport system, ports, power and airports are key to both economies”.
Nyusi signed the visitors’ book at Civic Offices and was granted freedom of the City of Lilongwe symbolised by a key.
On Tuesday the presidents will conduct a tour of the Railway Line Connection Project and will cross the border into Villa Nova, Mozambique.
On Wednesday, the two leaders will hold a joint media briefing.
